Thank you for your patience with the sparseness of posts, at the moment. We're just getting started, and this is new software to me. It has taken me a while to get comfortable with where even this post might "land" on the site. ((chuckle)) But, my knowledge is growing. Pretty soon, you'll be overwhelmed with reading opportunities, no doubt.

HOWEVER, this is also a forum. That means you are to feel free to post and interact with other members here. So, look around, introduce yourself, and let's fellowship as a body of online believers!

What does "God's Appointed Times" mean?

We'll say more on this, as time passes, for this is one of the primary reasons my husband and I started our blogs, ministry, and this site. We've written a lot about God's calendar and why it's important.

Genesis 1:14-16 (LEB) -- "And God said, 'Let there be lights in the vaulted dome of heaven to separate day from night, and let them be as signs and for appointed times, and for days and years, and they shall be as lights in the vaulted dome of heaven to give light on the earth.' And it was so. And God made two lights, the greater light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night, and the stars."

Leviticus 23:1-2 (LEB) -- "Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the Israelites, and say to them, "The festivals of Yahweh that you shall proclaim are holy assemblies; these are my appointed times..."'"

Numbers 10:10 (LEB) -- “'And on the day of your joy and in your appointed times, at the beginning of your months, you will blow on the trumpets in addition to your burnt offerings and in addition to the sacrifices of your fellowship offerings. And they will be as a memorial for you before your God; I am Yahweh your God.'”

We are not to sacrifice animals. Jesus was the sacrifice, once for all.

Yet, we notice several themes in the Bible:
    * God saying, "Remember what I've done for you," and, "Keep in covenant with Me."
    * Jesus is the Bridegroom. His people (us) are His bride.
    * We are at war with Satan (a created being who is not God's equal nor higher, but likes to think he is).
    * We have an important role to play in that war.
